Chalky Finish spray Clear varnish matt

The matt Chalky Finish Clear varnish spray is supplied as a 400 ml spray can. It is water-based, gets a matt transparent finish by drying and provides our Chalky Finish chalk paints with an additional sealing. This spray is also quick-drying and weather-resistant.

Our Chalky Finish paint spray is an ultra-matt, water-based spray that is available in numerous pastel colour shades. It is ideal for enhancing surfaces and items made of wood, melamine, plastics, cardboard, papier-mâché, MDF, canvas or styrofoam with a velvety texture and trendy matt look.

The application method for the Chalky Finish Clear varnish spray is the same as for the Chalky Finish paint sprays:
before applying it, shake the paint can well, from top to bottom for about 2-3 minutes. You should be able to hear the rattling sound of the mixing balls inside. After each pause in spraying, shake the spray can well again.
We always recommend the spot test on a scrap piece of cardboard or newspaper beforehand. The surface area to be sprayed should be clean and free of grease. Now you can start spraying the external surface of the chosen object by maintaining a distance of about 30 cm from the object being sprayed. When spraying, move the spray can vertically back and forth slowly and regularly. The best would be to apply the “cross-coat” method: a method of painting application that involves a side-to-side application followed by a top-to-bottom application with very little break between sprays.
If desired, you can use further the "wet-on-wet" technique by spraying at intervals of 1-2 minutes.
When you finish spraying, turn the can upside down and spray a little varnish away from you. This clears the valve of paint residue, and fills it with propellant that will not harden and clog.

The quantity of 400 ml varnish is sufficient for approx. 1.5 - 2 sqm.
