Instructions in 10 steps After the concrete star has dried out and been demoulded, you can apply your favourite motifs using the template.
Besides the articles listed below, you also need: Cooking oil, sieve, support out of Crepla or cardboard
And this is how it works:
1

Step 1

To start the preparation, put the casting mould on a solid and even surface, so that it doesn’t wiggle and coat its inside with cooking oil.
2

Step 2

In order to remove the larger pebbles from the cement, you should sieve about 100 g of the cement powder before mixing with water, through an ordinary household sieve.
3

Step 3

Pour about 10 ml of water (once the cement is sieved, the mixing ratio is changing according to the instructions on the package) in a plastic bucket and then gradually add approx. 70 g of the sieved creative-cement powder. Stir this mixture with a craft wooden stick until an uniform and castable mass is obtained.
4

Step 4

Fill the prepared casting mould with the casting compound up to the desired height. Let the mixture rest for about 1-2 minutes. Thereby tap repeatedly and slightly onto the mould to release any air bubbles from the cement mixture.
5

Step 5

Let it dry out overnight.
6

Step 6

Now, you can demould the cured object by turning the casting mould around and laying it on a support out of Crepla or cardboard. Then care-fully press slightly with the palm of your hand on the back of the casting object, so that the air penetrates between the casting object and mould. Tap the casting mould carefully on your support, so that the casting object becomes entirely detached from the mould.
7

Step 7

Allow it to harden. The curing time varies depending on the size and the temperature (one to several days).
8

Step 8

Small burrs and irregularities can be quickly & easily grinded with sandpaper.
9

Step 9

Now, you can stencil the star out of concrete with the desired stencil and DecoArt All Purpose black paint by means of the stencil-brush/brush. Let it dry out.
10

Step 10

As a special highlight, you can circle the stencilled outline with the Quickie Glue, scatter some tinsel, shake the rest off and let it dry out.
