    Felting

Felting wool is a great, soft craft material that can be easily turned into nice handicrafts and decorative objects with the appropriate accessories and tools. Working with felt brings lots of fun to children and adults alike.

Three different techniques can be used for felting: wet felting, dry felting and felt knitting.

    Dry felting

Dry felting is also called needle felting. In addition to felting wool or pure new wool, we recommend using the appropriate tools and accessories for felting. This makes felting much more fun and the successful final results speak for themselves. As accessories for dry felting, we offer a wide range of felting needles, felting tools and mats.

    Wet felting

When felting wet, the felt or pure new wool is felted by friction with lukewarm water and soap. As practical accessories, we offer a bubble wrap, olive oil soap, a mixing bottle and quick-felting fluid. The quick-felting fluid is a plant-based product that helps felting objects 10 times faster than by using the traditional method.

    Felt knitting

When kniting felt, the item once knitted with special wool must be washed in the washing machine at 40°C and matted in the process. You can also accelerate the felting processus here with the quick-felting fluid.

What kind of accessories do I need for felting?

In addition to the matching felting wool, we also offer a wide range of felting needles and felting pads for dry felting. In addition to single felting needles available in different thicknesses, you also have the option of using felting devices with several needles at the same time, which can be used to felt more quickly. As underlay for dry felting, we offer foam pads or the brush-like mat for dry felting. Depending on the item to be felted, choose the product that suits your felting project best.

For wet felting, all you need apart from the felting wool is a lukewarm water and soap. For easier handling and as a support when felting wet, we also recommend using a bubble wrap, a handy mixing bottle and the quick-felting fluid.
