Instructions in 14 steps Punch the letters through the pennant flag-shaped fabric and stitch them onto the cushion cover. Fill it with our wadding to get a fluffy cushion. And this is how it works:
1

Step 1 Cushion cover

For the cushion cover, cut out 62 x 68 cm of the light-red fabric with rhombus pattern (1 cm seam allowance is included).
2

Step 2 Pennant

Cut out 12 × 20 cm of the unicoloured light-blue cotton fabric.
3

Step 3

Cut out 12 x 20 cm of the fusible web Vliesofix, lay it with the rough side on the left side of the fabric and iron it 5 seconds without steam.
4

Step 4

Cut 2 light blue pennants according to the cutting pattern. Repeat the same step for the cream and pastel pink cotton fabrics.

The cutting pattern can be found in the PDF version of the craft idea. Just download it.

5

Step 5 Letters

Cut out 8 x 48 cm of the light-red cotton fabric with rhombus pattern.
6

Step 6

Cut out 8 x 48 cm of the fusible web Vliesofix, lay it with the rough side on the left side of the fabric and iron it 5 seconds without steam.
7

Step 7

For the 6 letters, cut out 8 x 8 cm large fabric pieces. That way it will be easier to stamp out the individual letters.
8

Step 8

Stamp out the individual letters by using the Sizzix Bigz template and the Sizzix Big Shot machine.
9

Step 9

Place the cushion cover right sides together, so that you get a 33 x 62 cm rectangle.
10

Step 10

Remove the carrier paper of the pennant, lay it on the front side of the cushion cover and iron it 5 seconds without steam.
11

Step 11

Put the individual pennants onto the outer edge with the narrow spikes stitch (see picture).
12

Step 12

Sew the cotton yarn with the lock stitch and then sew on a button at both upper corners.
13

Step 13

Stick on the light-blue Washi Tape with rhombus pattern according to the picture.
14

Step 14

Place the cushion cover left sides together, so that you get again a 33 x 62 cm rectangle and then sew together the outer edges. Leave some place for the rotating aperture. Turn around the cushion cover, fill it up with some synthetic wool fibers and then sew up the rotating aperture.
