Instructions in 8 steps You can turn these test tubes into great hanging vases with decorative cords designed by means of the macramé technique. And this is how it works:
1

Step 1

Cut the jewellery cord according to the size of the test tube:
Oversized test tube: 4 × 90 cm
Medium-sized test tube: 4 × 80 cm
Small-sized test tube: 4 × 50 cm
2

Step 2

Arrange the 4 customized threads as shown in the picture.
3

Step 3

Overturn unilaterally the two underlying threads over the two upper threads.
4

Step 4

Overturn the threads as shown in the following pictures.
5

Step 5

Pull together the threads into a knot.
6

Step 6

Place the knot below on the bottom of the test tube and put always two threads per an overhand knot into a knot as shown in the picture (the distance from the basic knot to the further one varies according to the size of the object).
7

Step 7

For the next row of knots, join again together two threads per an overhand knot, so that a diamond-shaped pattern is formed, see picture.
8

Step 8

Continue like this until the desired height of the test tube is reached and all the threads per overhand knot finally knotted together.
