Instructions in 12 steps Rainbow just for your home – by means of the punching technique, you can create your very own rainbow.

Step 1
First, transfer the desired motif to the fabric. The transfer paper, fabric cutting and template are laid on top of each other as follows:2 ![]()

Lay a sheet of transfer paper textile with the red coated side facing up, lay the fabric cutting on it, 1 sheet of transfer paper textile (the red coated side faces down), lay the template with the motif Rainbow over it.3 ![]()
Step 3
Trace the motif with a pencil. Make sure that nothing slips. The motif is now charted on both sides of the fabric cutting. Now stretch the fabric cutting in the middle of the embroidery frame.4 ![]()
Step 4
First, adjust the needle length of the Punch Needle on the scale from 1 to 5 (clamping screw knob). Thread the black cotton yarn through the punch needle according to the instructions. Start with the name first. Hold the needle like a pencil, with the sloping side of the needle always pointing upwards and in the working direction. Start at the beginning of the name. Punch through the fabric until the needle is fully inserted (as far as it will go). Pull it back so it can still touch the fabric. A loop is formed at the bottom side. Continue to guide the needle tip very close to the top of the fabric and punch again as described above. Repeat this punching process until the name is complete. If you want to bold a letter, punch it twice.5 ![]()
Tip:
Depending on the design of your letters, it may be necessary to apply the yarn several times.6 ![]()
Step 5
Pull the starting and the ending thread downwards/backwards with a sewing needle and cut them off.7 ![]()
Step 6
Now remove the fabric cutting from the embroidery frame, turn it around and clamp it back into the middle of the embroidery frame. The tensioning screw of the embroidery frame should be at the top.8 ![]()
Step 7
Thread the cotton yarn for the outermost rainbow through the punch needle and start with the outer contour of the first rainbow. Work in rows, from the outside to the inside, until the uppermost part of the rainbow is filled in. Cut the starting and the ending thread off. Now the other rainbow strips follow. Work as just described until the last part of the rainbow is filled in. Cut the starting and the ending thread off.9 ![]()
Step 8
For the fringes, cut 20 threads to 12 cm per colour, lay them on top of each other and tie them together in the middle with the matching cotton yarn. With the chosen yarn, stitch down the fringes to the respective rainbow strips.10 ![]()
Step 9
To keep your Needle Punch motif in place, affix the yarn to the rear side of the fabric by means of the textile glue. Do not use too much textile glue, otherwise the glue penetrates the fabric through. Allow to dry well out.11 ![]()
Step 10
Now cut the remaining fabric back to an edge of 1.5 cm. Fold the fabric inwards and press in the wooden board (no gluing necessary). This allows the motif to be replaced by another one at a later time. All you need is a fabric cutting (item no. 54 073 102) and a cotton yarn "Stitch & Knot". Finally, cut the fringes to the same length.12 ![]()
