The air-drying clay (made almost entirely from natural clay) intended for shaping and modelling and without having to fire it, dries in the open air. Being easy to use cleanly, its smooth consistency allows the finest modelling.
After drying, the modelled item can be further processed by filing or sanding and then painting it.
Our air-drying clay is 100% vegan and gluten-free, but not food-safe. If you want to use your modelled item for food, e.g. as a fruit bowl, you can coat it transparently with our food-safe clear varnish (item no.35031000). We recommend applying this clear varnish in 2 layers, preferably with a soft paintbrush. After a sufficient drying time, your item becomes food-safe. However, it is not waterproof, therefore only suitable for indoor use. Clay remnants can be stored in an airtight plastic bag for use at a later date.
