1

Crochet

DOUBLE CROCHETS: Work in spiral rounds, i.e. do not close the round with 1 slip stitch, but simply continue working. CROCHETS KNIT STITCH: Work double crochets, but do not work around the stitch on top, always stick the needle between the two V-shaped back loops of the previous round. Work in spiral rounds, i.e. do not close the round with 1 slip stitch, but simply continue working (Fig.).
2

Tip

When changing the clew, sew the ends of the yarn together with the sewing needle and thread.
3

Step 1 - Bottom

1SR RD: Crochet 8 double crochets around an adjustable thread ring (Fig. 7-11). Pull the ring by making it smaller as you tighten the end of the thread (Fig.). From now on, work with crochet knit stitch in spiral rounds, i.e. do not close the round with 1 slip stitch, but simply continue to work. Mark the beginning of the round, carry with the marking further on.
4

Step 2

2ND RD: Work 2 double crochets in each double crochet of the previous round = 16 double crochets result (Fig.).
5

Step 3

3RD RD: * 1 double crochet, 2 double crochets in 1 stitch, work from * 8 times = 24 double crochets result.
6

Step 4

4TH RD: * 2 double crochets in 1 stitch, 2 double crochets, work from * 8 times = 32 double crochets result.
7

Step 5

5TH RD: * 3 double crochets, 2 double crochets in 1 stitch, work from * 8 times = 40 double crochets result.
8

Step 6

6TH RD: * 2 double crochets in 1 stitch, 4 double crochets, work from * 8 times = 48 double crochets result. Close the round with 1 slip stitch in the 1st double crochet.
9

Step 7

7TH RD: 48 slip stitches by working around the stitches of the previous round (Fig. 14-16). Close the round with 1 slip stitch in the 1st slip stitch.
10

Step 8 - Basket Wall

8TH RD: Work 48 double crochets by working only around the back chain stitches of the 6th round (Fig.).
11

Step 9

9TH TO 16TH RD: Work 48 double crochets in crochet knit stitch. Close the 16th round with 1 slip stitch in the 1st double crochet to close the round.
12

Step 10

17TH RD: 48 slip stitches by working around the stitches of the previous round. Close the round with 1 slip stitch in the 1st slip stitch. Cut the thread and sew on the inside.
13

Step 11 - Finalisation

Cut two pieces 40 cm long from the leatherette strap. At a distance of about 1.5 cm and 11 cm from each end of the strap, punch 1 hole by means of the hole punch pliers (size depends on the screw). Pull the ends into the 16th round with 5 stitches apart while avoiding twisting the strap (Fig.).
14

Step 12

Insert the screws into the holes and tighten. Sew on the label with the sewing needle and thread.
