Instructions in 5 steps Dried flowers have to be wound around the large metal ring and the wooden picks inserted into the dried flowers. The small macramé hoop is created on a knot-by-knot basis. Once combined, the two hoops make a great wall decoration.
Sort out the single dried flowers, then shorten them to a length of about 10-12 cm. Have the wooden pick and the necessary material ready. Start by winding the wire tightly around the metal ring to ensure a stable framework. Then lay a small bunch of dried flowers on the metal ring and attach the flower stems tightly to the ring using the wire. Repeat this step. Vary with the selection of dried flowers and complete the whole with the wood pick. Start on the left-hand side. In our case, we have reached with dried flowers a length of about 15 cm on the left side, and a length of about 10 cm on the right side. But you can define the length as you wish. Shorten the stems so that they can be hidden in the next step.
Now cut 1 m of yarn. Make a loop with both yarns and knot tightly one end of the yarn to the metal ring. You can attain a nice decorative effect by fraying the ends of the yarn by means of scissors.
The small macramé hoop is designed with lark’s head knots (see illustration).
Cut 5 m of yarn and lay it out twice. Put the loop yarn around the metal ring from behind and pass the two ends of the yarn through the loop. Tighten them loosely.
Continue now by putting always the loop yarn with the two thread pieces behind the ring and by passing their ends backwards through the loop. Tighten them always loosely. Repeat this step until the entire ring is wrapped. In order to prevent the yarn from unravelling on the ring, insert a small piece of both thread ends into the first knot so that the circle is complete. Cut off all excess thread.
Hang the macramé hoop inside the dried flower hoop by making a lark’s head knot around both hoops. Use the remaining yarn to hang up your wall decor: pull a wood ball through and close the yarn by tying a knot.
Besides the articles listed below, you also need: scissors, mini hot melt glue gun if necessary
