Step 1
Start by winding the rope around the top ring of the lampshade, near the longitudinal brace. To do this, glue the beginning of the corn husk rope using hot-melt glue, by overlapping it from the back. Press well together and wait until the glue has cooled down.2 ![]()

Step 2
Now pull the rope downwards, parallel to the brace at the front and wind it one and a half times around the lower ring. Then pull the rope up from the back and wind it up one and a half times so that you can pull it down again from the front.3 ![]()

Step 3
Repeat these windings until all the gaps are covered.4 ![]()

Step 4
Secure the end of the rope in place, using hot-melt glue, on the last winding and against the opposite rope.Tip: If you need a new corn husk rope, glue the beginning and end of the rope at a barely visible spot using hot-melt glue.

Step 5
Weave the sisal rope several times through the outer strands of the corn husk rope in the bottom third.6 ![]()

Step 6
As a final step, fit the lampshade to the lamp base, screw on the shade holder tightly and screw in the light bulb.Tip: If the corn husk rope ever untwists during winding, secure it in place using hot-melt glue.
