Besides the articles listed below, you also need: Besides the articles listed below, you also need: Scissors, stitch marker, cotton darner needle
And this is how it works:
1

Step 1

For the bottom, first crochet a chain consisting of 30 chain stitches.

Applied techniques: Chain stitches Double crochet stitches Slip stitches: The yarn is pulled through both loops on the needle in one motion. The work is done in rounds.

2

Step 2

Then work double crochet stitches all along the first row. End the row by making 3 double crochet stitches in the end stitch to triple it. Crochet back along the other side and triple the end stitch as well.
3

Step 3

Keep crocheting in rounds with double crochet stitches, and widen the edge stitches on both sides as follows: Round 2: double every stitch of the 3 stitches (6 edge stitches per side) Round 3: double every 2nd stitch (9 edge stitches per side) Round 4: double every 3rd stitch (12 edge stitches per side) Round 5: double every 4th stitch (15 edge stitches per side) Round 6: double every 5th stitch (18 edge stitches per side) Round 7: double every 6th stitch (21 edge stitches per side) Round 8: double every 7th stitch (24 edge stitches per side)
4

Step 4

Crochet the bag body in continuous rounds of double crochet stitch, without doubling stitches. Going forward, always crochet only into the back loop of every double crochet stitch. Height – about 38 rounds, according to your wishes.
5

Step 5

Fold the bag together and set stitch markers on the front and back sides. At this point, shift inward by around 12 stitches on both sides. Work in crochet until you reach the first marker, then make a slip stitch by drawing the yarn directly through it for better stability.
6

Step 6

Crochet a chain consisting of 75 chain stitches (or the number of chain stitches needed for your desired bag strap length), then slip stitch into the second marker. Keep crocheting until you reach the back marker, then repeat the same process for the other bag strap.
7

Step 7

Finish by crocheting 5 more rows around the bag and its strap. (Keep inserting the crochet hook only in the back loop). Then cut the yarn and weave in its loose ends.
