Step 1
Paint the wooden bottom with paint. Allow to dry.2 ![]()

Step 2
Crochet double crochet stitches in the holes using yarn and a crochet hook while increasing one stitch at each corner.3 ![]()

Step 3
Crochet around 3 rounds in double crochet stitch, working in the knit-look crochet stitch.4 ![]()

Step 4
Knit-look crochet stitch: Work double crochet stitches, but do not work into the stitch itself; instead, always insert the crochet hook between the two V-shaped legs of the stitch from the previous round.5 ![]()

Step 5
In the 4th round, work 14 chain stitches across the center of both shorter sides, leaving the stitches underneath unworked. The resulting chain spaces will later form the carrying handles. Insert the starting chain into the edge once more and continue working in rounds, using double crochet stitches in the knit-look crochet stitch.6 ![]()

Step 6
In the last round, crochet double crochet stitches into the back loop only. Then cut the yarn and hide the yarn ends by weaving them in.7 ![]()
