Instructions in 5 steps Spread the rolled-out modelling compound over a balloon as a wrap-around cover to give your bowl the desired shape. When the bowl has dried out, scatter silver decorative metallic flakes on it.
Besides the articles listed below, you also need: Rolling pin, balloon, support stand (e.g.flower pot), cling film, some water

Step 1
For the preparation, you need a balloon inflated to the desired size and a support stand (e.g. flower pot) for the balloon.2 ![]()
Step 2
Roll the air-drying modelling compound with granite sand look about 3mm thick out, at best in a cling film by means of a craft rolling pin.3 ![]()
Step 3
Lay the rolled-out modelling compound flat on the balloon and model it further with fingers and some water.4 ![]()
Step 4
Let it dry out for about 1 day (the drying time is dependent upon the weather conditions).5 ![]()
Step 5
Then, take carefully the balloon out or release the air with a little prick and remove it. After one more day of drying process, the bowl can be painted and decorated as desired.Tip: the bowl looks particularly classy with an inner coating out of deco-metal. Therefore, apply the leaf adhesive onto desired surface by means of a brush, let it dry out and put then the deco-metal flakes on. Push them with a soft brush and wipe carefully the excess rest off. Finally, if desired, coat it with a protective varnish.
