Paper for Quilling

What does quilling mean at all? Quilling is the modern answer to the creative work with paper. It is about a technique that is applied for hundreds of years in order to create delicate decorations out of paper. The trick is to roll thin paper strips out (here their dimension is 53x0.9cm), then to shape them and finally stick their ends together (Caution: do not apply too much adhesive!). Later on, you can arrange the rolled strips as magnificent creations and decorative figurines, e.g. by sticking together single rolls. With the quilling technique, you can let off steam completely and make a variety of shapes, including circles, squares, drops or leaves. These so created shapes you can individually customize and make figurines, pictures or paintings out of them. The simplest method is to thread the strip through the eyelet of the quilling pen (item no.71935000), twist it into a spiral and let the spiral

Meanwhile, there are numerous ways to create fantastic artworks out of rolled paper strips. You can create, for example, impressive animal-shaped pendants such as butterfly, owl, cat or fish which can be used as a key ring or wall decoration. Furthermore, you can make lovely floral motifs, stars, hearts or snowflakes out of paper strips. Besides, your rolled creations are perfect for the decoration of all kinds of cards, pictures, boxes, letters or numbers, packages, bookmarks, etc. Moreover, thanks to the quilling technique, you can easily create jewels such as earrings or necklace pendants as well as a crib toys for a baby crib mobile. These so created items, you can keep for yourself or give away as a small self-made present for your loved ones. Out of these rolled strips, you can also build well smaller objects such as X-mas tree ornaments, name tags, saying boards of a different kind or tealight holder.
