And this is how it works: 1 ![]()

Step 1
For the cords, take cotton yarns of different double lengths and knot their ends. One end is securely fixed in place, while at the other end you need to insert a stick, e.g. a pencil, and turn the twine while pulling gently on it until it starts to wind itself up. Then bring the ends together (held under gentle tensile traction) in the middle and twist the twine until a cord is formed.Tip: You’ll need about 20 m of cotton yarn to wrap one egg in cord. The length obviously depends on how tightly the yarn is wound around the egg.

Step 2
Start with a piece of cord, sticking one end securely to the bottom of the styrofoam egg. Glue the different cords upwards in a spiral pattern. Jonctions should be as flat and even as possible.Tip: The cords can be cut to desired length. Glue the end of the cord firmly onto the egg so that it does not come undone.

Step 3
Pass both ends of a piece of cotton yarn through the wooden ball and tie a knot. Then glue this wooden ball, which will serve as a suspension hook, onto the top of the egg using hot-melt glue.4 ![]()
