Productdetails
Candle casting mould for striped taper candles, height 19.5 cm, 2.3 cm ø, with instructions
Mould made of high-quality silicone, a particularly elastic material, easy to demould, dimensionally stable and reusable. Frost- and heat-resistant (from -40°C up to 200°C).
Perfect for casting with rapeseed wax/beeswax (about 64 g) or paraffin wax pellets (about 60 g).
In addition, you’ll need a flat wick (we recommend using the flat wick FD19 – item no.31589000) and possibly colour pigments for wax (e.g.item no.31640ff).
And this is how it works:
Lay the wick in the opened mould. Prior to that, attach the upper end to a sturdy needle/wire, close the mould, lay the needle/wire in the middle. The wax has to be heated in a water bath and can be dyed as desired. Pour the warm wax carefully into the mould. Let it dry well out, remove the needle from the wick and pull off the mould carefully. When it comes to casting and hardening, look out for a safe stand (e.g. place it in a container filled with sand). The instructions can be found on the package.
There are lots of different ways to cast candles. If you have never cast candles before, then you should start with an easier version, for e.g. with a harmonious colour gradient from dark to light. After demoulding, you can dip the candle partly into a liquid coloured wax.
While casting, many ideas related to this topic will certainly arise.
The candle casting moulds are available in different sizes and shapes.
Apart from that: the self-made candles are also an amazing gift idea!
