Prepare all work material and boil about 2 litres of water. Dissolve in the hot water the pink or the denim blue batik hand-dyed colour with 2 tbsp of household salt in the dye vessel by using the whisk. Now add another 4-5 l of warm water. The temperature should be at least 40 - 50 °C. Dyeing can be carried out up to 90 °C. The hotter the dye bath, the more intense the result. Put the wooden board in the bag on the bottom of the bag to weigh it down, and place the 2 large stones on the left and right sides of the board to weigh it even more down. Hold the bag centrally on the left and right sides with a light pressure. Dip the bag slowly and evenly about 10 cm deep into the dye bath. Hold it that way for a few minutes. The staining time has also an impact on the intensity of the hue. Then take the bag out of the dye bath, let it drip off well and hang it straight down on the opened clothes drying rack. For drying, carefully remove the stones and the wooden board from the bag. After approx. 2 - 3 hours or only the next day, you can attempt to get a lighter colour shade. To do this, dilute the present dye bath with 3 - 4 l of warm water and repeat the step with the board and stones. Dip the bag about 6 - 7 cm deeper than the first time into the dye bath and remove the bag immediately. This results in a beautiful colour gradation from dark to light. Drip it also off evenly, hang it straight down again and wait until the colour is dry, so that it does not lightly dye the white fabric when washed out. After washing it out with lukewarm water, you can additionally fix the colour with the colour fixer for batik hand-dyed colour according to the instructions on the packaging.
